     Hang out on the Saturday afternoon.

I enjoy spending my saturday on afternoonat outside my boarding house with my friends. I can’t have the same experience at Lombok, but I have found a place that similar to my home at Lombok.

Monument 1 march in Malioboro is my favorite place in Yogyakarta, because that remind me of Udayana street in Mataram, Lombok. They are different but also similar, especially on the weekend.

For me, Monument 1 march has an atmosphere that is like Udayana street’s. In both place, people stroll and gather. In Udayana, sometimes man and women or boys and girls are jogging on Saturday afternoon usually people stop at seam street and have an traditional cake or coffe. Now I that live in yogyakarta, Monumen 1 march is my favorite place where my friends and me go on Saturday  for our afternoon walk. Usually my friends and me sit at seam streets in front of monument 1 march, sometimes we took picture or found many sellers like clothes, accecories, softdrink, paint art, and many intertainment that we can found at there, also many visitor that from the other city for getting their holidays with their family.

Despite their similarities, Udayana and Monumen 1 march are very different. Monument 1 march is history place that we can see on the building, like monument 1 march, museum vandenburg, but little bit like modern place because we also can found  like malioboro mall, ramayana departement store, matahari departement store and still there are many shop at seam malioboro street. On the one hand, Udayana has not mall or departement store like in malioboro,  at there you can only can found tree and sellers that sell the traditional foods or drinking, and also there is garden entertainment for children. At malioboro you just walk to looking around by bicycle or sometimes people by walk.

It is interesting to see how people and place from different countries can be similar and different at the same time. Udayana street and Monument 1 march are different in appearance and culture but they are also similar because they are both place where people like to go to relax on the Saturday afternoon.
